Harley Brown is one of the world’s top equestrian jumper riders and trainers. He moved from Australia, where he won more than 25 Grand Prix jumping events, to California in 2003. In Australia, Harley trained the Olympic rider Alieda Ross and Australian Young Rider Champion Olivia Dawson.〔Sorge, Molly. In September 2007, Harley was second at the Oaks $50,000 World Cup Qualifying Grand Prix.〔 Harley Brown and Cassiato won the $75,000 World Cup qualifying class on November 8, 2008, in Sacramento, California. Harley Brown is consistently ranked by the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) as a top rider and is often in the top ten in the competitive West Coast division. In 2007 and 2008, Harley was on the Australian Equestrian Olympic committee development and the elite squad of competitors for the 2008 Olympics in China. He chose not to compete in Europe for a place on the Olympic team.〔 In the spring of 2008, Harley Brown trained 15-year-old Savannah Carr to a place on the West Coast Young Riders Team to compete for the Young Riders National Championships in Denver, Colorado in August. Carr was a gold medal junior team winner.〔 Harley Brown is now preparing several horses for the 2009 World Cup competition to be held in Las Vegas in April, 2009.
